Sign-ups are open now on the Paper Kaiju Steam page. Press Request Access and we'll send invitations in waves from 10 November. The build includes three districts, six sets of kaiju parts and four-player online co-op. A controller is recommended.

We read every bug report and every survey answer. The biggest change since the summer is the new folding screen, so please tell us if anything about it confuses you.

Update 1.4 is out on every platform. It adds the Desert Night and Harbour Night routes, a photo mode with five film looks, and a ghost car of your best run in Time Attack.

Fixes include the split-screen frame drops on Switch, the checkpoint timer going out of sync in online races, and the radio that kept playing the same song. The full patch notes are on Steam.

Project 05 has moved out of prototype and into pre-production, and we need three more people: a senior gameplay programmer, an environment artist and a level designer.

All three roles are full-time and based in Murcia with hybrid work. The environment artist can also work remotely from anywhere in the EU. Details are on the Work with us page.

Night Shift at Galaxia is available now on PlayStation 5, with DualSense support for the flashlight and the arcade machines.

Saves don't carry over from other platforms, but the PS5 version includes the director's commentary mode we added to PC and Switch last year.

How we prototype: the two-week grey box

Why every Anfi project starts without art, and why most of them end there.

Every project at Anfi starts the same way: two people, two weeks and no art at all. At the end, the whole studio plays the prototype and votes on whether it continues.

About half of our prototypes stop there. Highline '86 got through on the first try. Paper Kaiju took three attempts and one complete change of genre.

Highline '86, one year on

What we learned from launching on four platforms on the same day.

Highline '86 came out a year ago on four platforms at once, something we had never tried before. Certification took longer than the whole development of Orbit Mechanic.

Since launch we've released three free updates, and the next one will add night routes. Thank you to everyone who has sent us their best times.
